The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. The League never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties. We influence public policy through education and advocacy. We invite everyone to join us!

The League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley serves the communities of Alamo, Antioch, Bay Point, Bethel Island, Brentwood, Byron, Canyon, Concord, Danville, Diablo, Discovery Bay, Knightsen, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Orinda, Pacheco, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Rossmoor, San Ramon and Walnut Creek.

“The League of Women Voters stands in solidarity with the Israeli and Palestinian people impacted by the ongoing violence in Israel and Gaza. The human rights violations committed against women and children are inhumane and must not continue.

Income disparities are now so pronounced that the average income of America’s richest 1 percent of households was more than 84 times the average income of the bottom 20 percent in 2019. Approaches to addressing this inequality will be featured in this webinar.

As such, it provides a program, Ballot Measure Pros & Cons, to educate voters about California’s ballot propositions during general elections. Janet Thomas is stepping down as chair of the Pros and Cons team, and we are looking for someone who will take on this important role.
